For National Wildlife Day, the Cook Museum will be offering short presentations on Alabama specific wildlife and the long leaf pine ecosystem. The discussion will touch on the diversity of wildlife in this area and several very important keystone species, including the gopher tortoise, the endangered eastern indigo, and the eastern box turtle. As part of the presentation, there will be appearances from the Museum’s animal ambassadors.
