January 5 & 19: K – 4th Grade Class: Lights and Sounds

Do you ever wonder how the animals around you communicate? Birds, bats, frogs, and even insects use sounds and sometimes even light to communicate and learn about their environment. Come investigate some of the different ways the animals around us communicate with fun activities and Live Animal Presentations. You will even make your own firefly!

January 19 ONLY: 5th – 12th Grade Class: Get Hoppy: A Study of Orthopterans

As the sun goes down, nature’s music begins! Grasshoppers, crickets, and katydids are some of the most fascinating animals that come out at night.  Come learn all about these hoppy creatures by observing, dissecting, and pinning Orthopterans.
