Insect Pinning Workshop

Come join us at the Cook Museum for a hands-on insect pinning workshop! This workshop is for all pinning levels. Participants will learn insect orders & anatomy, how to ethically collect & preserve insects, and learn the scientific pinning & labeling methods. Each participant will take home a box of pinned insects, including a bee from the Museum’s colony.

This workshop will include species that were pinned in previous workshops (the orange scarab beetle and the sunset moth). Children 14 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Admission to the Exhibits is not included.
